I won’t vote for you, all I have seen is services cut
Whilst I am immensely proud to have been Dorset’s first Police and Crime Commissioner, it was a difficult time to come into office. Since I arrived, I have overseen huge cuts to services. Services have been cut. That is undeniable. The Force has faced funding cuts of 20% over the last three years and whilst a great deal of that loss has been mitigated by efficiency savings there have had to be reductions in services. These have not, however, been random but rather have been based on setting priorities based on threat, risk and harm. They have also been based on what the public have told me in several consultations, you do have a voice. However, let’s be positive, the funding cuts are on hold now, together we can now invest in policing again.
