TESTIMONIALS TO MARTYN AS YOUR PCC
I hope you Dorset folks realise how very fortunate you are with your PCC – he is a one off. I work with a lot of PCC's. Most PCC’s appear to have little idea, and one wonders if they know their role or have any real interest in the public who voted them in. Martyn is incredibly pro active in supporting us with those Dorset parents whose lives have been shattered by child abuse themselves and also discover their children have been abused. Martyn is committed to better outcomes even if it means challenging attitudes within the Police. VOTE FOR HIM – he deserves your vote and won’t disappoint - I wish he lived in our region!!!!

I publicly endorse Martyn Underhill for PCC. I believe this should be a non political role and Martyn has always shown integrity in all he does, listening to the communities he serves. He has shows total commitment to the role and in particular to making sure that those dealing with Mental Health conditions are given as much support as possible.

In my role as Patron for Dorset Mind, Chair of Trustees for Acts Fast, and Patron for Bournemouth Samaritans, it's my pleasure to announce my endorsement for Martyn Underhill to be re-elected as Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner. He has fought tirelessly to support mental health across Dorset. Among his notable achievements has been to establish, maintain and support the Dorset Police Mental Health Street Triage - dramatically reducing the number of people with mental health difficulties who are detained unnecessarily in police cells.

I know you've been working well, have deep policing experience and a common sense approach.

I have worked with Martyn on a range of issues and I have always found him to be industrious, assiduous and balanced in his approach to the needs of Dorset residents and the scarce resources of Dorset Police.
Conor BurnsConservative MP Bournemouth West, in a letter to a constituent, 7th August 2015.
I pay tribute to the Chief Constable of Dorset, Debbie Simpson, and our Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill, both of whom do a superb job.
Richard DraxRichard Drax MP South Dorset, speaking in the House of Commons 10th February 2015
This is a man who cares not only about his community but the people in it. I have been most impressed by his genuine care and commitment to The BME community, attending meetings and following up with any concerns that they may have had. You have my vote Martyn.
Bernadette MacDonald-RaggettLegal Advisor at The New Society Organisation of Caribbean Affairs & Motivational Speaker
I read your article and “port security” letter to the Home Secretary with interest and congratulate you on raising such an important issue.
Having attended numerous public meetings, Martyn's willingness to communicate with the public has been exceptional. I personally believe that in the role of PCC he is a great asset to the whole of Dorset. He pledged to retain the Marine Section, and he has!
David Butcher – MinisterLansdowne Church, and a member of the Marine Community.
The difference between Martyn Underhill as a PCC, and the Police Authority is that Martyn consulted with the public, and listened to the arguments for and against proposals...the Police Authority did neither, they just rubber stamped things. He brought proper consultation with the public to policing in Dorset.

Many thanks for your support in relation to community concerns in the Shaftesbury area: it has been instrumental in achieving our aims. In sixteen years as an elected member, including 3 years as Mayor of Shaftesbury, I can see that the role of PCC has visibly changed matters for the better. You will recall the doubts about the idea of PCC’s, I had some, but you have proven that they can have a real impact on the delivery and effectiveness of the Police in our area.
